Stop Using Your Former Account
Be sure to leave sufficient funds in your old account to cover all outstanding checks and automatic payments. Start using your Georgia United account to initiate new payments.
Transfer All Automatic Payments
Determine which companies require your new account information by reviewing all monthly, quarterly and annual payments.
Update Your Direct Deposit
Arrange to have your direct deposit transferred to your new account. Your account number can be found in Online Banking, our Mobile App or on the bottom of your checks. Georgia United’s Routing Number is 261171309.
Close Your Former Account
Verify all pending transactions have cleared your old account and automatic payments are transferred to your Georgia United account. For your security, shred unused and old checks, debit or credit cards and paperwork associated with the former account once it is closed.
